About Summer Retro

The reason Summer Retro is here is baby font and nothing else. It does not try to cover the next three jobs along, and we would rather it did not. The save count is still small at 6, so read this as our opinion and not a consensus. mardanimirza12 made it. The review tab is empty. That is normal here and not a warning, but it does put the preview in charge.

Put it to work on birthday font first. If it survives that, it will survive whatever you had in mind next. Check the capitals and the spacing between them — display type lives or dies on how a short word in caps sits together. We check two things before any download like this: the preview at full size, and whether the licence covers what you plan to do with it.

How to use this font

  1. Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
  2. Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
  3. Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
  4. Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
