About Stoneford

The reason Stoneford is here is adventure font and nothing else. It does not try to cover the next three jobs along, and we would rather it did not. Nobody has reviewed it, which we do not hold against a new file — but it does mean the preview is the only honest evidence. No saves on it yet — new files sit like that for a while, and it says nothing about the file. DREAM is the name on the listing.

A display face has one job: be read big. We judge it at poster size and ignore how it behaves in a paragraph, because it will never be in one. If you want one use for it, take apparel font: that is the direction the designer clearly had in mind, and it is the one we would follow. Spend the minute on the preview at full size — it is where you find out whether adventure font was the description or the aspiration.

It answers to badge font, bold font, bold slab serif and branding font, and that spread of wording is worth noting: a file tagged this consistently usually behaves the way the preview suggests. Related wording on the shelf: display, poster, headline, vintage and retro. Same shelf, different phrasing, and the sort options above work across all of it. On this site it lives on the Display and Poster Fonts shelf, so it also turns up for people browsing display and poster fonts rather than searching for it by name. Judged against the requests we see — vintage fonts commercial license, display fonts, vintage fonts canva, number fonts vintage and retro canva fonts — this is a middle-of-the-road answer, and middle of the road is usually what the job needs.

How to use this font

  1. Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
  2. Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
  3. Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
  4. Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
