About Spooky Halloween
What we like about Spooky Halloween is how little it tries to be everything — it does 4th of july, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Display and Poster Fonts shelf. The designer behind it is Robbots stores. There are no reviews on it yet, so judge it by the preview and not by a score that does not exist. It sits at 1 saves — too few to call it popular, which is exactly why it is worth a look before everyone else finds it.
The obvious job for it is background, and obvious is right here — the file was built around that and it shows. A display font only has to work big, so we judge it at poster size and ignore how it looks in a paragraph — that is not its job. Open it big before you commit. At thumbnail size every font on this shelf looks equally good, which is the problem with thumbnails.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
