About Shusha
Ask for advertising font and you get a hundred near-misses; Shusha is one of the few that answers the question as asked. It has gone unnoticed so far. We found it worth shelving anyway. The designer behind it is BILLI. No reviews either way, so the preview is doing all the work on this one.
Our own plan for it is apparel font, because that is where this kind of font does the least arguing with you. A display font only has to work big, so we judge it at poster size and ignore how it looks in a paragraph — that is not its job. The licence tab and the full-size preview are the whole of our due diligence here, and they take about a minute between them.
If you came in looking for bold display font, bold lettering, bold serif font and bold typography, you are in the right place — the listing carries all of those, which is the clearest sign the designer built it for that job rather than retitled it afterwards. How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
