About Shuffle Breaks

If 70s font is what you came for, start here — Shuffle Breaks is the plainest reading of that request on the Display and Poster Fonts shelf. The save count is still small at 3, so read this as our opinion and not a consensus. Nobody has reviewed it, which we do not hold against a new file — but it does mean the preview is the only honest evidence. Credit goes to Inviline.

Check the capitals and the spacing between them — display type lives or dies on how a short word in caps sits together. Our own plan for it is bold display, because that is where this kind of font does the least arguing with you. We check two things before any download like this: the preview at full size, and whether the licence covers what you plan to do with it.

Search for bold font, bubble font, chunky font and display font and this is the file those words land on; they are all the same font, filed under whichever phrase you happened to type. The neighbouring searches are poster, headline, vintage, retro and slab — worth a look if this particular font is close but not quite it. We keep it under Display and Poster Fonts, which is where to look if you want the rest of the display and poster fonts we have gone through. We track what people actually type before they land here: vintage fonts commercial license, display fonts, vintage fonts canva, number fonts vintage and retro canva fonts. If that is roughly what you were after, this font is in the right family.

How to use this font

  1. Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
  2. Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
  3. Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
  4. Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
