About Seravelle
The reason Seravelle is here is beauty font and nothing else. It does not try to cover the next three jobs along, and we would rather it did not. With 3 saves it has barely been seen, and that is neither a good nor a bad sign on a catalogue this size. It comes from Colourful. No reviews either way, so the preview is doing all the work on this one.
The obvious job for it is boutique font, and obvious is right here — the file was built around that and it shows. A display face has one job: be read big. We judge it at poster size and ignore how it behaves in a paragraph, because it will never be in one. Open it big before you commit. At thumbnail size every font on this shelf looks equally good, which is the problem with thumbnails.
Search for branding font, classic serif font, display serif and editorial font and this is the file those words land on; they are all the same font, filed under whichever phrase you happened to type. Nearby you will see poster, headline, vintage, retro and slab, which is where to go if this one is nearly right but not quite. Put next to the usual requests here — vintage fonts commercial license, display fonts, vintage fonts canva, number fonts vintage and retro canva fonts — this one covers the plain version of the job, which is the version people need most often. It is shelved with the rest of the display and poster fonts, and that is the quickest way to see what else sits in the same register before you settle on this one.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
