About Scary Horror
Scary Horror is our display font pick, and it is a pick rather than a default — we looked at the shelf twice before leaving it on. Credit goes to Jan Jao studio. The listing shows 5.0 out of 5 on 2 reviews, which is better evidence than the thumbnail. Only 58 people have saved it so far, so this is our pick rather than the crowd's.
Our own plan for it is halloween, because that is where this kind of font does the least arguing with you. A display face has one job: be read big. We judge it at poster size and ignore how it behaves in a paragraph, because it will never be in one. One thing we always do and you should too: open the preview full size. A thumbnail hides exactly the detail that decides whether display font is really what you are getting.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
