About Roya
We put Roya on the Display and Poster Fonts shelf because album artwork is the kind of thing people come here looking for, and this one answers it without a detour. The save count is still small at 3, so read this as our opinion and not a consensus. mail.skygroup is the name on the listing. Nobody has reviewed it, which we do not hold against a new file — but it does mean the preview is the only honest evidence.
Check the capitals and the spacing between them — display type lives or dies on how a short word in caps sits together. If you want one use for it, take antique display typeface: that is the direction the designer clearly had in mind, and it is the one we would follow. Spend the minute on the preview at full size — it is where you find out whether album artwork was the description or the aspiration.
Filed as band font, bank note display font, bold apparel and chiseled serif font. Tags are a rough instrument, but a consistent set like that usually means the file is what it claims. You will find it among the display and poster fonts, sorted next to everything that does roughly the same job. Related wording on the shelf: poster, headline, vintage, retro and slab. Same shelf, different phrasing, and the sort options above work across all of it. We track what people actually type before they land here: vintage fonts commercial license, display fonts, vintage fonts canva, number fonts vintage and retro canva fonts. If that is roughly what you were after, this font is in the right family.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
