About Rasegad

If 7ntypes is what you came for, start here — Rasegad is the plainest reading of that request on the Display and Poster Fonts shelf. It stands at 5.0 out of 5 across 1 review, and we read the low scores first when there are any. Credit goes to Hendrik (7NTypes). It sits at 41 saves — too few to call it popular, which is exactly why it is worth a look before everyone else finds it.

A display face has one job: be read big. We judge it at poster size and ignore how it behaves in a paragraph, because it will never be in one. If you want one use for it, take alternative font: that is the direction the designer clearly had in mind, and it is the one we would follow. Open it big before you commit. At thumbnail size every font on this shelf looks equally good, which is the problem with thumbnails.

It answers to apparel designs, book cover fonts, branding font and cover designs, and that spread of wording is worth noting: a file tagged this consistently usually behaves the way the preview suggests. Related wording on the shelf: display, poster, headline, vintage and retro. Same shelf, different phrasing, and the sort options above work across all of it. Put next to the usual requests here — vintage fonts commercial license, display fonts, vintage fonts canva, number fonts vintage and retro canva fonts — this one covers the plain version of the job, which is the version people need most often. It is shelved with the rest of the display and poster fonts, and that is the quickest way to see what else sits in the same register before you settle on this one.

How to use this font

  1. Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
  2. Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
  3. Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
  4. Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
