About Playful Cuties

The reason Playful Cuties is here is 7ntypes and nothing else. It does not try to cover the next three jobs along, and we would rather it did not. 7 saves mean nobody has tested it for you. We still think it holds up. The designer behind it is Riman (7NTypes). The review tab is empty. That is normal here and not a warning, but it does put the preview in charge.

Our own plan for it is alternative characters, because that is where this kind of font does the least arguing with you. Check the capitals and the spacing between them — display type lives or dies on how a short word in caps sits together. One thing we always do and you should too: open the preview full size. A thumbnail hides exactly the detail that decides whether 7ntypes is really what you are getting.

Search for branding, childrens art, colorful fonts and cricut crafts and this is the file those words land on; they are all the same font, filed under whichever phrase you happened to type. We keep it under Display and Poster Fonts, which is where to look if you want the rest of the display and poster fonts we have gone through. If none of this quite fits, the adjacent requests are display, poster, headline, vintage and retro and they stay on this page. The wording people arrive with is vintage fonts commercial license, display fonts, vintage fonts canva, number fonts vintage and retro canva fonts, and we would rather shelve for those requests than for how a thumbnail looks in a grid.

How to use this font

  1. Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
  2. Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
  3. Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
  4. Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
