About Pixel Stick

This is the one we reach for when the request is 8bit. Pixel Stick keeps it simple, which is why it sits here rather than in the reserve pile. The review tab is empty. That is normal here and not a warning, but it does put the preview in charge. It comes from snapedsgn. With 8 saves it has barely been seen, and that is neither a good nor a bad sign on a catalogue this size.

If you want one use for it, take arcade: that is the direction the designer clearly had in mind, and it is the one we would follow. A display font only has to work big, so we judge it at poster size and ignore how it looks in a paragraph — that is not its job. One thing we always do and you should too: open the preview full size. A thumbnail hides exactly the detail that decides whether 8bit is really what you are getting.

If you came in looking for bitmap, display and font, you are in the right place — the listing carries all of those, which is the clearest sign the designer built it for that job rather than retitled it afterwards. If none of this quite fits, the adjacent requests are poster, headline, vintage, retro and slab and they stay on this page. Judged against the requests we see — vintage fonts commercial license, display fonts, vintage fonts canva, number fonts vintage and retro canva fonts — this is a middle-of-the-road answer, and middle of the road is usually what the job needs. Its home here is Display and Poster Fonts — open that shelf if you would rather compare a few before choosing.

How to use this font

  1. Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
  2. Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
  3. Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
  4. Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
