About Pink Beach

This is the one we reach for when the request is aesthetic. Pink Beach keeps it simple, which is why it sits here rather than in the reserve pile. The designer behind it is ajiwaluyo88. No reviews either way, so the preview is doing all the work on this one. The save count is still small at 4, so read this as our opinion and not a consensus.

The obvious job for it is apparel, and obvious is right here — the file was built around that and it shows. A display font only has to work big, so we judge it at poster size and ignore how it looks in a paragraph — that is not its job. The licence tab and the full-size preview are the whole of our due diligence here, and they take about a minute between them.

Filed as beach, bohemian, bold and branding. Tags are a rough instrument, but a consistent set like that usually means the file is what it claims. The wording people arrive with is vintage fonts commercial license, display fonts, vintage fonts canva, number fonts vintage and retro canva fonts, and we would rather shelve for those requests than for how a thumbnail looks in a grid. We keep it under Display and Poster Fonts, which is where to look if you want the rest of the display and poster fonts we have gone through. Related wording on the shelf: display, poster, headline, vintage and retro. Same shelf, different phrasing, and the sort options above work across all of it.

How to use this font

  1. Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
  2. Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
  3. Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
  4. Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
