About Payyhai
Most of what turns up under abstract needs work before it is usable. Payyhai is the version that does not. It is Pukka De's work. Unreviewed so far — read that as untested rather than as a verdict. With 5 saves it has barely been seen, and that is neither a good nor a bad sign on a catalogue this size.
A display face has one job: be read big. We judge it at poster size and ignore how it behaves in a paragraph, because it will never be in one. We would use it the way the listing hints — alfabeto — and that is also where we would start if you are trying it for the first time. Spend the minute on the preview at full size — it is where you find out whether abstract was the description or the aspiration.
Type alphabet, background, calligraphy and cartoon into the search above and this one comes back — the same font under four different habits of phrasing. Judged against the requests we see — vintage fonts commercial license, display fonts, vintage fonts canva, number fonts vintage and retro canva fonts — this is a middle-of-the-road answer, and middle of the road is usually what the job needs. You will find it among the display and poster fonts, sorted next to everything that does roughly the same job. The neighbouring searches are display, poster, headline, vintage and retro — worth a look if this particular font is close but not quite it.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
