About Oxlab
What we like about Oxlab is how little it tries to be everything — it does advertising font, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Display and Poster Fonts shelf. It comes from Twistystd. 4 saves mean nobody has tested it for you. We still think it holds up. No reviews either way, so the preview is doing all the work on this one.
Check the capitals and the spacing between them — display type lives or dies on how a short word in caps sits together. Put it to work on bold display font first. If it survives that, it will survive whatever you had in mind next. The licence tab and the full-size preview are the whole of our due diligence here, and they take about a minute between them.
It answers to bold font, bold fonts, bold typography and branding font, and that spread of wording is worth noting: a file tagged this consistently usually behaves the way the preview suggests. Most of the traffic on this shelf comes in on vintage fonts commercial license, display fonts, vintage fonts canva, number fonts vintage and retro canva fonts, and we picked the files on it with those requests in mind rather than by browsing prettiest-first. The neighbouring searches are poster, headline, vintage, retro and slab — worth a look if this particular font is close but not quite it. We filed it under Display and Poster Fonts for the obvious reason, and the shelf is small enough to read end to end.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
