About October Night
Most of what turns up under autumn font needs work before it is usable. October Night is the version that does not. There are no reviews on it yet, so judge it by the preview and not by a score that does not exist. The designer behind it is Kernova Fonts. The save count is still small at 4, so read this as our opinion and not a consensus.
We keep it filed mentally under bold serif, which is the use that needs the least adjusting afterwards. A display font only has to work big, so we judge it at poster size and ignore how it looks in a paragraph — that is not its job. Open it big before you commit. At thumbnail size every font on this shelf looks equally good, which is the problem with thumbnails.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
