About Mysterio
If cartoon font is what you came for, start here — Mysterio is the plainest reading of that request on the Display and Poster Fonts shelf. The designer behind it is Modestype Studio. Nobody has reviewed it, which we do not hold against a new file — but it does mean the preview is the only honest evidence. The save count is still small at 6, so read this as our opinion and not a consensus.
We would use it the way the listing hints — children — and that is also where we would start if you are trying it for the first time. A display face has one job: be read big. We judge it at poster size and ignore how it behaves in a paragraph, because it will never be in one. One thing we always do and you should too: open the preview full size. A thumbnail hides exactly the detail that decides whether cartoon font is really what you are getting.
Type children font, cinema font, comic and comic book font into the search above and this one comes back — the same font under four different habits of phrasing. People after this usually search display, poster, headline, vintage and retro too, and the shelf is sorted so those all land in the same place. We filed it under Display and Poster Fonts for the obvious reason, and the shelf is small enough to read end to end. Most of the traffic on this shelf comes in on vintage fonts commercial license, display fonts, vintage fonts canva, number fonts vintage and retro canva fonts, and we picked the files on it with those requests in mind rather than by browsing prettiest-first.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
