What we like about Moontise Alynne is how little it tries to be everything — it does bold outlined typography, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Display and Poster Fonts shelf. Credit goes to Indotype Foundry. Unreviewed so far — read that as untested rather than as a verdict. 50 saves mean nobody has tested it for you. We still think it holds up.
Our own plan for it is bold retro font, because that is where this kind of font does the least arguing with you. Check the capitals and the spacing between them — display type lives or dies on how a short word in caps sits together. Before downloading, give the preview a full-size look and read the licence tab — two clicks, and they answer most of what the listing leaves unsaid.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
