About Montavelle
Montavelle earned its place here for one reason: it is a straight answer to beauty branding font, and straight answers are rarer in this font catalogue than you would think. There are no reviews on it yet, so judge it by the preview and not by a score that does not exist. 1 save means nobody has tested it for you. We still think it holds up. The designer behind it is Colourful.
A display font only has to work big, so we judge it at poster size and ignore how it looks in a paragraph — that is not its job. The obvious job for it is bold serif font, and obvious is right here — the file was built around that and it shows. We check two things before any download like this: the preview at full size, and whether the licence covers what you plan to do with it.
Search for boutique font, brand identity font, display serif font and editorial font and this is the file those words land on; they are all the same font, filed under whichever phrase you happened to type. The searches that bring people to this shelf are vintage fonts commercial license, display fonts, vintage fonts canva, number fonts vintage and retro canva fonts — this one sits in the middle of that group rather than off to the side of it. Its home here is Display and Poster Fonts — open that shelf if you would rather compare a few before choosing. The neighbouring searches are poster, headline, vintage, retro and slab — worth a look if this particular font is close but not quite it.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
