About Kilat
The reason Kilat is here is adventure font and nothing else. It does not try to cover the next three jobs along, and we would rather it did not. 1 save means nobody has tested it for you. We still think it holds up. Nobody has reviewed it, which we do not hold against a new file — but it does mean the preview is the only honest evidence. The designer behind it is Kernova Fonts.
Check the capitals and the spacing between them — display type lives or dies on how a short word in caps sits together. We keep it filed mentally under badge font, which is the use that needs the least adjusting afterwards. The licence tab and the full-size preview are the whole of our due diligence here, and they take about a minute between them.
Type bold font, bold typography, branding font and classic font into the search above and this one comes back — the same font under four different habits of phrasing. If none of this quite fits, the adjacent requests are display, poster, headline, vintage and retro and they stay on this page. We keep it under Display and Poster Fonts, which is where to look if you want the rest of the display and poster fonts we have gone through. Put next to the usual requests here — vintage fonts commercial license, display fonts, vintage fonts canva, number fonts vintage and retro canva fonts — this one covers the plain version of the job, which is the version people need most often.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
