About Jukotha

Jukotha is our 80s fonts pick, and it is a pick rather than a default — we looked at the shelf twice before leaving it on. It is twinletter's work. Nobody has reviewed it, which we do not hold against a new file — but it does mean the preview is the only honest evidence. Only 40 people have saved it so far, so this is our pick rather than the crowd's.

A display font only has to work big, so we judge it at poster size and ignore how it looks in a paragraph — that is not its job. The obvious job for it is 90s fonts, and obvious is right here — the file was built around that and it shows. The licence tab and the full-size preview are the whole of our due diligence here, and they take about a minute between them.

Search for advertising and advertising fonts and this is the file those words land on; they are all the same font, filed under whichever phrase you happened to type. If none of this quite fits, the adjacent requests are display, poster, headline, vintage and retro and they stay on this page. We filed it under Display and Poster Fonts for the obvious reason, and the shelf is small enough to read end to end. The searches that bring people to this shelf are vintage fonts commercial license, display fonts, vintage fonts canva, number fonts vintage and retro canva fonts — this one sits in the middle of that group rather than off to the side of it.

How to use this font

  1. Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
  2. Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
  3. Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
  4. Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
