About Jagaro

What we like about Jagaro is how little it tries to be everything — it does advertising font, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Display and Poster Fonts shelf. Unreviewed so far — read that as untested rather than as a verdict. It is DREAM's work. The save count is still small at 1, so read this as our opinion and not a consensus.

Put it to work on apparel font first. If it survives that, it will survive whatever you had in mind next. A display font only has to work big, so we judge it at poster size and ignore how it looks in a paragraph — that is not its job. One thing we always do and you should too: open the preview full size. A thumbnail hides exactly the detail that decides whether advertising font is really what you are getting.

If you came in looking for bold display, bold font, branding font and bubble font, you are in the right place — the listing carries all of those, which is the clearest sign the designer built it for that job rather than retitled it afterwards. The searches that bring people to this shelf are vintage fonts commercial license, display fonts, vintage fonts canva, number fonts vintage and retro canva fonts — this one sits in the middle of that group rather than off to the side of it. Related wording on the shelf: poster, headline, vintage, retro and slab. Same shelf, different phrasing, and the sort options above work across all of it. We filed it under Display and Poster Fonts for the obvious reason, and the shelf is small enough to read end to end.

How to use this font

  1. Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
  2. Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
  3. Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
  4. Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
