About Hightrack

What we like about Hightrack is how little it tries to be everything — it does advertising font, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Display and Poster Fonts shelf. With 2 saves it has barely been seen, and that is neither a good nor a bad sign on a catalogue this size. There are no reviews on it yet, so judge it by the preview and not by a score that does not exist. It is BILLI's work.

A display face has one job: be read big. We judge it at poster size and ignore how it behaves in a paragraph, because it will never be in one. We keep it filed mentally under apparel font, which is the use that needs the least adjusting afterwards. Open it big before you commit. At thumbnail size every font on this shelf looks equally good, which is the problem with thumbnails.

Search for athletic font, automotive font, automotive typography and bold display and this is the file those words land on; they are all the same font, filed under whichever phrase you happened to type. You will find it among the display and poster fonts, sorted next to everything that does roughly the same job. Put next to the usual requests here — vintage fonts commercial license, display fonts, vintage fonts canva, number fonts vintage and retro canva fonts — this one covers the plain version of the job, which is the version people need most often. Related wording on the shelf: poster, headline, vintage, retro and slab. Same shelf, different phrasing, and the sort options above work across all of it.

How to use this font

  1. Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
  2. Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
  3. Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
  4. Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
