About Happy Brush

What we like about Happy Brush is how little it tries to be everything — it does beauty fonts, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Display and Poster Fonts shelf. RenatoRi Designs made it. There are no reviews on it yet, so judge it by the preview and not by a score that does not exist. It sits at 26 saves — too few to call it popular, which is exactly why it is worth a look before everyone else finds it.

A display font only has to work big, so we judge it at poster size and ignore how it looks in a paragraph — that is not its job. Our own plan for it is bold fonts, because that is where this kind of font does the least arguing with you. One thing we always do and you should too: open the preview full size. A thumbnail hides exactly the detail that decides whether beauty fonts is really what you are getting.

Search for brochure fonts, brush fonts, calligraphy fonts and cursive fonts and this is the file those words land on; they are all the same font, filed under whichever phrase you happened to type. If none of this quite fits, the adjacent requests are display, poster, headline, vintage and retro and they stay on this page. We keep it under Display and Poster Fonts, which is where to look if you want the rest of the display and poster fonts we have gone through. Most of the traffic on this shelf comes in on vintage fonts commercial license, display fonts, vintage fonts canva, number fonts vintage and retro canva fonts, and we picked the files on it with those requests in mind rather than by browsing prettiest-first.

How to use this font

  1. Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
  2. Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
  3. Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
  4. Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
