About Grunge Society
What we like about Grunge Society is how little it tries to be everything — it does album cover font, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Display and Poster Fonts shelf. Dreamspace.studio made it. There are no reviews on it yet, so judge it by the preview and not by a score that does not exist. With 3 saves it has barely been seen, and that is neither a good nor a bad sign on a catalogue this size.
Put it to work on alternative font first. If it survives that, it will survive whatever you had in mind next. Check the capitals and the spacing between them — display type lives or dies on how a short word in caps sits together. We check two things before any download like this: the preview at full size, and whether the licence covers what you plan to do with it.
Search for apparel font, band font, bold display and bold grunge and this is the file those words land on; they are all the same font, filed under whichever phrase you happened to type. We filed it under Display and Poster Fonts for the obvious reason, and the shelf is small enough to read end to end. Most of the traffic on this shelf comes in on vintage fonts commercial license, display fonts, vintage fonts canva, number fonts vintage and retro canva fonts, and we picked the files on it with those requests in mind rather than by browsing prettiest-first. Nearby you will see poster, headline, vintage, retro and slab, which is where to go if this one is nearly right but not quite.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
