About Grifon
Grifon earned its place here for one reason: it is a straight answer to advertising, and straight answers are rarer in this font catalogue than you would think. It is twinletter's work. Unreviewed so far — read that as untested rather than as a verdict. Only 12 people have saved it so far, so this is our pick rather than the crowd's.
Check the capitals and the spacing between them — display type lives or dies on how a short word in caps sits together. If you want one use for it, take banner font: that is the direction the designer clearly had in mind, and it is the one we would follow. One thing we always do and you should too: open the preview full size. A thumbnail hides exactly the detail that decides whether advertising is really what you are getting.
It answers to branding and corporate, and that spread of wording is worth noting: a file tagged this consistently usually behaves the way the preview suggests. We keep it under Display and Poster Fonts, which is where to look if you want the rest of the display and poster fonts we have gone through. Put next to the usual requests here — vintage fonts commercial license, display fonts, vintage fonts canva, number fonts vintage and retro canva fonts — this one covers the plain version of the job, which is the version people need most often. Related wording on the shelf: display, poster, headline, vintage and retro. Same shelf, different phrasing, and the sort options above work across all of it.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
