About Fragile Bones
What we like about Fragile Bones is how little it tries to be everything — it does authentic, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Display and Poster Fonts shelf. It is ChekArt's work. It sits at 47 saves — too few to call it popular, which is exactly why it is worth a look before everyone else finds it. Unreviewed so far — read that as untested rather than as a verdict.
A display face has one job: be read big. We judge it at poster size and ignore how it behaves in a paragraph, because it will never be in one. We would use it the way the listing hints — black — and that is also where we would start if you are trying it for the first time. Open it big before you commit. At thumbnail size every font on this shelf looks equally good, which is the problem with thumbnails.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
