About Food Chunky
Ask for advertising font and you get a hundred near-misses; Food Chunky is one of the few that answers the question as asked. The designer behind it is Wow Magic. With 1 saves it has barely been seen, and that is neither a good nor a bad sign on a catalogue this size. No reviews either way, so the preview is doing all the work on this one.
Put it to work on apparel font first. If it survives that, it will survive whatever you had in mind next. A display font only has to work big, so we judge it at poster size and ignore how it looks in a paragraph — that is not its job. The licence tab and the full-size preview are the whole of our due diligence here, and they take about a minute between them.
Filed as bakery branding, bakery font, beverage branding and bold display font. Tags are a rough instrument, but a consistent set like that usually means the file is what it claims. The wording people arrive with is vintage fonts commercial license, display fonts, vintage fonts canva, number fonts vintage and retro canva fonts, and we would rather shelve for those requests than for how a thumbnail looks in a grid. People after this usually search poster, headline, vintage, retro and slab too, and the shelf is sorted so those all land in the same place. We filed it under Display and Poster Fonts for the obvious reason, and the shelf is small enough to read end to end.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
