About Dinosaur

Dinosaur earned its place here for one reason: it is a straight answer to adventure display font, and straight answers are rarer in this font catalogue than you would think. DesignXShop made it. The review tab is empty. That is normal here and not a warning, but it does put the preview in charge. The save count is still small at 2, so read this as our opinion and not a consensus.

A display face has one job: be read big. We judge it at poster size and ignore how it behaves in a paragraph, because it will never be in one. If you want one use for it, take adventure font: that is the direction the designer clearly had in mind, and it is the one we would follow. The licence tab and the full-size preview are the whole of our due diligence here, and they take about a minute between them.

Search for alphabet font, apparel font, beast font and bold font and this is the file those words land on; they are all the same font, filed under whichever phrase you happened to type. Its home here is Display and Poster Fonts — open that shelf if you would rather compare a few before choosing. What this shelf gets asked for is vintage fonts commercial license, display fonts, vintage fonts canva, number fonts vintage and retro canva fonts. That list is why these files are here and not some prettier ones. Related wording on the shelf: poster, headline, vintage, retro and slab. Same shelf, different phrasing, and the sort options above work across all of it.

How to use this font

  1. Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
  2. Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
  3. Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
  4. Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
