About Darling Mother
We put Darling Mother on the Display and Poster Fonts shelf because album design is the kind of thing people come here looking for, and this one answers it without a detour. The designer behind it is Minimalist Eyes. Unreviewed so far — read that as untested rather than as a verdict. 26 saves mean nobody has tested it for you. We still think it holds up.
Check the capitals and the spacing between them — display type lives or dies on how a short word in caps sits together. If you want one use for it, take beverage design: that is the direction the designer clearly had in mind, and it is the one we would follow. The licence tab and the full-size preview are the whole of our due diligence here, and they take about a minute between them.
Type birthday font, branding design, branding font and bubble font into the search above and this one comes back — the same font under four different habits of phrasing. We keep it under Display and Poster Fonts, which is where to look if you want the rest of the display and poster fonts we have gone through. Judged against the requests we see — vintage fonts commercial license, display fonts, vintage fonts canva, number fonts vintage and retro canva fonts — this is a middle-of-the-road answer, and middle of the road is usually what the job needs. Related wording on the shelf: display, poster, headline, vintage and retro. Same shelf, different phrasing, and the sort options above work across all of it.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
