About Craxel
This is the one we reach for when the request is advertising font. Craxel keeps it simple, which is why it sits here rather than in the reserve pile. Twistystd is the name on the listing. No saves on it yet — new files sit like that for a while, and it says nothing about the file. Unreviewed so far — read that as untested rather than as a verdict.
Check the capitals and the spacing between them — display type lives or dies on how a short word in caps sits together. If you want one use for it, take angular font: that is the direction the designer clearly had in mind, and it is the one we would follow. Before downloading, give the preview a full-size look and read the licence tab — two clicks, and they answer most of what the listing leaves unsaid.
It answers to bold display typeface, bold font, branding font and canva, and that spread of wording is worth noting: a file tagged this consistently usually behaves the way the preview suggests. Judged against the requests we see — vintage fonts commercial license, display fonts, vintage fonts canva, number fonts vintage and retro canva fonts — this is a middle-of-the-road answer, and middle of the road is usually what the job needs. People after this usually search poster, headline, vintage, retro and slab too, and the shelf is sorted so those all land in the same place. It is shelved with the rest of the display and poster fonts, and that is the quickest way to see what else sits in the same register before you settle on this one.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
