About Checkered
If arcade style font is what you came for, start here — Checkered is the plainest reading of that request on the Display and Poster Fonts shelf. It stands at 5.0 out of 5 across 1 review, and we read the low scores first when there are any. Credit goes to turz74347. 10 saves mean nobody has tested it for you. We still think it holds up.
A display face has one job: be read big. We judge it at poster size and ignore how it behaves in a paragraph, because it will never be in one. Our own plan for it is automotive branding font, because that is where this kind of font does the least arguing with you. Open it big before you commit. At thumbnail size every font on this shelf looks equally good, which is the problem with thumbnails.
Type black and white checkered font.position, black and white font, checkered font and checkered pattern into the search above and this one comes back — the same font under four different habits of phrasing. On this site it lives on the Display and Poster Fonts shelf, so it also turns up for people browsing display and poster fonts rather than searching for it by name. People after this usually search display, poster, headline, vintage and retro too, and the shelf is sorted so those all land in the same place. Judged against the requests we see — vintage fonts commercial license, display fonts, vintage fonts canva, number fonts vintage and retro canva fonts — this is a middle-of-the-road answer, and middle of the road is usually what the job needs.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
