About Caverton
What we like about Caverton is how little it tries to be everything — it does advertising font, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Display and Poster Fonts shelf. No reviews either way, so the preview is doing all the work on this one. BILLI made it. Only 2 people have saved it so far, so this is our pick rather than the crowd's.
Put it to work on apparel font first. If it survives that, it will survive whatever you had in mind next. Check the capitals and the spacing between them — display type lives or dies on how a short word in caps sits together. The licence tab and the full-size preview are the whole of our due diligence here, and they take about a minute between them.
Search for bold display, bold font, bold typography and brand identity and this is the file those words land on; they are all the same font, filed under whichever phrase you happened to type. If none of this quite fits, the adjacent requests are poster, headline, vintage, retro and slab and they stay on this page. What this shelf gets asked for is vintage fonts commercial license, display fonts, vintage fonts canva, number fonts vintage and retro canva fonts. That list is why these files are here and not some prettier ones. We filed it under Display and Poster Fonts for the obvious reason, and the shelf is small enough to read end to end.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
