About Caplove
What we like about Caplove is how little it tries to be everything — it does artistic display font, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Display and Poster Fonts shelf. It comes from Eightde. The save count is still small at 8, so read this as our opinion and not a consensus. Unreviewed so far — read that as untested rather than as a verdict.
Check the capitals and the spacing between them — display type lives or dies on how a short word in caps sits together. We would use it the way the listing hints — bold fonts — and that is also where we would start if you are trying it for the first time. Open it big before you commit. At thumbnail size every font on this shelf looks equally good, which is the problem with thumbnails.
The words on the listing are bold playful font, caplove, condensed fonts and creative project, and they are worth reading as a description rather than as tags. Judged against the requests we see — vintage fonts commercial license, display fonts, vintage fonts canva, number fonts vintage and retro canva fonts — this is a middle-of-the-road answer, and middle of the road is usually what the job needs. If none of this quite fits, the adjacent requests are poster, headline, vintage, retro and slab and they stay on this page. You will find it among the display and poster fonts, sorted next to everything that does roughly the same job.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
