About Boldist

If advertising font is what you came for, start here — Boldist is the plainest reading of that request on the Display and Poster Fonts shelf. Nobody has reviewed it, which we do not hold against a new file — but it does mean the preview is the only honest evidence. 1 save means nobody has tested it for you. We still think it holds up. Bundle made it.

A display font only has to work big, so we judge it at poster size and ignore how it looks in a paragraph — that is not its job. We would use it the way the listing hints — advertising typography — and that is also where we would start if you are trying it for the first time. One thing we always do and you should too: open the preview full size. A thumbnail hides exactly the detail that decides whether advertising font is really what you are getting.

The listing files it under apparel font, bold display font, bold font and boldist — those are the words it gets found by, and between them they describe the file better than any category name does. Its home here is Display and Poster Fonts — open that shelf if you would rather compare a few before choosing. We track what people actually type before they land here: vintage fonts commercial license, display fonts, vintage fonts canva, number fonts vintage and retro canva fonts. If that is roughly what you were after, this font is in the right family. People after this usually search poster, headline, vintage, retro and slab too, and the shelf is sorted so those all land in the same place.

How to use this font

  1. Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
  2. Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
  3. Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
  4. Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
