About Blukat

Blukat earned its place here for one reason: it is a straight answer to apparel font, and straight answers are rarer in this font catalogue than you would think. The review tab is empty. That is normal here and not a warning, but it does put the preview in charge. It sits at 2 saves — too few to call it popular, which is exactly why it is worth a look before everyone else finds it. It is Griyotype's work.

A display face has one job: be read big. We judge it at poster size and ignore how it behaves in a paragraph, because it will never be in one. We keep it filed mentally under athletic font, which is the use that needs the least adjusting afterwards. The licence tab and the full-size preview are the whole of our due diligence here, and they take about a minute between them.

The words on the listing are bold font, collegiate font, display font and football font, and they are worth reading as a description rather than as tags. Most of the traffic on this shelf comes in on vintage fonts commercial license, display fonts, vintage fonts canva, number fonts vintage and retro canva fonts, and we picked the files on it with those requests in mind rather than by browsing prettiest-first. Its home here is Display and Poster Fonts — open that shelf if you would rather compare a few before choosing. The neighbouring searches are poster, headline, vintage, retro and slab — worth a look if this particular font is close but not quite it.

How to use this font

  1. Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
  2. Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
  3. Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
  4. Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
