About Back to School
What we like about Back to School is how little it tries to be everything — it does beauty font, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Display and Poster Fonts shelf. Black line is the name on the listing. We are not the first to notice: 466 makers saved it on before we did, and that number is the closest thing to a verdict the platform gives. 5.0 out of 5 from 1 review — a small sample, but it is the sample there is.
A display font only has to work big, so we judge it at poster size and ignore how it looks in a paragraph — that is not its job. Put it to work on brush font first. If it survives that, it will survive whatever you had in mind next. We check two things before any download like this: the preview at full size, and whether the licence covers what you plan to do with it.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
