About Wicked Knight

We put Wicked Knight on the Decorative and Dingbat Fonts shelf because blackletter font is the kind of thing people come here looking for, and this one answers it without a detour. 8 saves mean nobody has tested it for you. We still think it holds up. The designer behind it is BILLI. Buyers put it at 5.0 out of 5 over 1 review; worth clicking through to see what they actually said.

Check which characters really exist: decorative sets often stop at the capitals, and you find out when you need an ampersand. We keep it filed mentally under decorative font, which is the use that needs the least adjusting afterwards. One thing we always do and you should too: open the preview full size. A thumbnail hides exactly the detail that decides whether blackletter font is really what you are getting.

Filed as display font, fantasy font, fantasy title font and gothic font. Tags are a rough instrument, but a consistent set like that usually means the file is what it claims. The same shelf also answers to dingbat, colorful, colour, ornament and monogram, so widen the search there before giving up on it. We track what people actually type before they land here: blackletter font pairing, cinzel decorative font pairing, decorative script fonts, modern blackletter fonts and monogram fonts for cricut. If that is roughly what you were after, this font is in the right family. We keep it under Decorative and Dingbat Fonts, which is where to look if you want the rest of the decorative and dingbat fonts we have gone through.

How to use this font

  1. Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
  2. Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
  3. Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
  4. Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
