About Umbra Nollan
Umbra Nollan earned its place here for one reason: it is a straight answer to blackletter, and straight answers are rarer in this font catalogue than you would think. The save count is still small at 15, so read this as our opinion and not a consensus. 5.0 out of 5 from 1 review — a small sample, but it is the sample there is. Marvadesign made it.
Put it to work on bold first. If it survives that, it will survive whatever you had in mind next. A decorative face carries one word, maybe two. Set the headline you actually want in the preview before deciding it carries more. Before downloading, give the preview a full-size look and read the licence tab — two clicks, and they answer most of what the listing leaves unsaid.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
