About Selene
Ask for art fonts black fonts and you get a hundred near-misses; Selene is one of the few that answers the question as asked. 5.0 out of 5 from 1 review — a small sample, but it is the sample there is. It is Nongyao's work. With 25 saves it has barely been seen, and that is neither a good nor a bad sign on a catalogue this size.
We would use it the way the listing hints — astrology font — and that is also where we would start if you are trying it for the first time. Check which characters really exist: decorative sets often stop at the capitals, and you find out when you need an ampersand. We check two things before any download like this: the preview at full size, and whether the licence covers what you plan to do with it.
Type baby fonts, background fonts, banner fonts and basic fonts into the search above and this one comes back — the same font under four different habits of phrasing. We filed it under Decorative and Dingbat Fonts for the obvious reason, and the shelf is small enough to read end to end. Related wording on the shelf: decorative, dingbat, blackletter, colorful and colour. Same shelf, different phrasing, and the sort options above work across all of it. Judged against the requests we see — blackletter font pairing, cinzel decorative font pairing, decorative script fonts, modern blackletter fonts and monogram fonts for cricut — this is a middle-of-the-road answer, and middle of the road is usually what the job needs.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
