About Schary
What we like about Schary is how little it tries to be everything — it does color font, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Decorative and Dingbat Fonts shelf. Only 33 people have saved it so far, so this is our pick rather than the crowd's. The buyers who left a word rate it 5.0 out of 5 — 1 review, all of them on the listing. Illustration Ink made it.
A decorative face carries one word, maybe two. If you are tempted to set a whole headline in it, set it in the preview first and see what happens. Put it to work on full-color first. If it survives that, it will survive whatever you had in mind next. Open it big before you commit. At thumbnail size every font on this shelf looks equally good, which is the problem with thumbnails.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
