About Raquens
Raquens earned its place here for one reason: it is a straight answer to blackletter, and straight answers are rarer in this font catalogue than you would think. The save count is still small at 3, so read this as our opinion and not a consensus. The designer behind it is Denustudios. The listing shows 5.0 out of 5 on 1 review, which is better evidence than the thumbnail.
A decorative face carries one word, maybe two. If you are tempted to set a whole headline in it, set it in the preview first and see what happens. We would use it the way the listing hints — black metal — and that is also where we would start if you are trying it for the first time. The licence tab and the full-size preview are the whole of our due diligence here, and they take about a minute between them.
The words on the listing are blackletter display font and branding, and they are worth reading as a description rather than as tags. Most of the traffic on this shelf comes in on blackletter font pairing, cinzel decorative font pairing, decorative script fonts, modern blackletter fonts and monogram fonts for cricut, and we picked the files on it with those requests in mind rather than by browsing prettiest-first. If none of this quite fits, the adjacent requests are decorative, dingbat, colorful, colour and ornament and they stay on this page. We keep it under Decorative and Dingbat Fonts, which is where to look if you want the rest of the decorative and dingbat fonts we have gone through.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
