About Mortal Reign
What we like about Mortal Reign is how little it tries to be everything — it does album cover font, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Decorative and Dingbat Fonts shelf. The save count is still small at 21, so read this as our opinion and not a consensus. Ardana Creative is the name on the listing. The listing shows 5.0 out of 5 on 1 review, which is better evidence than the thumbnail.
Check which characters really exist: decorative sets often stop at the capitals, and you find out when you need an ampersand. Our own plan for it is band, because that is where this kind of font does the least arguing with you. We check two things before any download like this: the preview at full size, and whether the licence covers what you plan to do with it.
It answers to black design, blackletter, blackletter variation and black metal, and that spread of wording is worth noting: a file tagged this consistently usually behaves the way the preview suggests. We filed it under Decorative and Dingbat Fonts for the obvious reason, and the shelf is small enough to read end to end. Nearby you will see decorative, dingbat, colorful, colour and ornament, which is where to go if this one is nearly right but not quite. Most of the traffic on this shelf comes in on blackletter font pairing, cinzel decorative font pairing, decorative script fonts, modern blackletter fonts and monogram fonts for cricut, and we picked the files on it with those requests in mind rather than by browsing prettiest-first.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
