About 'merica-mania
'merica-mania is our 4th of july pick, and it is a pick rather than a default — we looked at the shelf twice before leaving it on. It stands at 5.0 out of 5 across 1 review, and we read the low scores first when there are any. Only 2 people have saved it so far, so this is our pick rather than the crowd's. Credit goes to Illustration Ink.
If you want one use for it, take american: that is the direction the designer clearly had in mind, and it is the one we would follow. Check which characters really exist: decorative sets often stop at the capitals, and you find out when you need an ampersand. The licence tab and the full-size preview are the whole of our due diligence here, and they take about a minute between them.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
