About Juri
What we like about Juri is how little it tries to be everything — it does book cover typography, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Decorative and Dingbat Fonts shelf. The designer behind it is Angel_Srapix. With 2 saves it has barely been seen, and that is neither a good nor a bad sign on a catalogue this size. It stands at 5.0 out of 5 across 1 review, and we read the low scores first when there are any.
If you want one use for it, take book spine font: that is the direction the designer clearly had in mind, and it is the one we would follow. A decorative face carries one word, maybe two. If you are tempted to set a whole headline in it, set it in the preview first and see what happens. Open it big before you commit. At thumbnail size every font on this shelf looks equally good, which is the problem with thumbnails.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
