About Jonie
Ask for abstract typography and you get a hundred near-misses; Jonie is one of the few that answers the question as asked. The listing shows 5.0 out of 5 on 1 review, which is better evidence than the thumbnail. The designer behind it is Angel_Srapix. 2 saves mean nobody has tested it for you. We still think it holds up.
A decorative face carries one word, maybe two. Set the headline you actually want in the preview before deciding it carries more. Our own plan for it is aesthetic typography, because that is where this kind of font does the least arguing with you. Spend the minute on the preview at full size — it is where you find out whether abstract typography was the description or the aspiration.
Type artsy font, avant-garde font, bold display and contemporary typeface into the search above and this one comes back — the same font under four different habits of phrasing. Related wording on the shelf: decorative, dingbat, blackletter, colorful and colour. Same shelf, different phrasing, and the sort options above work across all of it. The wording people arrive with is blackletter font pairing, cinzel decorative font pairing, decorative script fonts, modern blackletter fonts and monogram fonts for cricut, and we would rather shelve for those requests than for how a thumbnail looks in a grid. It is shelved with the rest of the decorative and dingbat fonts, and that is the quickest way to see what else sits in the same register before you settle on this one.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
