About Grimwalde
If blackletter font is what you came for, start here — Grimwalde is the plainest reading of that request on the Decorative and Dingbat Fonts shelf. Credit goes to Reyrey Blue. The listing shows 5.0 out of 5 on 1 review, which is better evidence than the thumbnail. It sits at 32 saves — too few to call it popular, which is exactly why it is worth a look before everyone else finds it.
A decorative face carries one word, maybe two. Set the headline you actually want in the preview before deciding it carries more. Our own plan for it is brutalism, because that is where this kind of font does the least arguing with you. The licence tab and the full-size preview are the whole of our due diligence here, and they take about a minute between them.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
