About Great Valey
Great Valey is our blackletter pick, and it is a pick rather than a default — we looked at the shelf twice before leaving it on. It is Dansdesign's work. The save count is still small at 63, so read this as our opinion and not a consensus. The listing shows 5.0 out of 5 on 2 reviews, which is better evidence than the thumbnail.
A decorative face carries one word, maybe two. If you are tempted to set a whole headline in it, set it in the preview first and see what happens. Put it to work on black letter first. If it survives that, it will survive whatever you had in mind next. Before downloading, give the preview a full-size look and read the licence tab — two clicks, and they answer most of what the listing leaves unsaid.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
