About Dither Byte
What we like about Dither Byte is how little it tries to be everything — it does 8 bit, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Decorative and Dingbat Fonts shelf. Only 16 people have saved it so far, so this is our pick rather than the crowd's. Gleb Guralnyk made it. Nobody has reviewed it, which we do not hold against a new file — but it does mean the preview is the only honest evidence.
Put it to work on abc first. If it survives that, it will survive whatever you had in mind next. A decorative face carries one word, maybe two. If you are tempted to set a whole headline in it, set it in the preview first and see what happens. Before downloading, give the preview a full-size look and read the licence tab — two clicks, and they answer most of what the listing leaves unsaid.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
