About Devilray

The reason Devilray is here is acanthus filigree font and nothing else. It does not try to cover the next three jobs along, and we would rather it did not. Buyers put it at 5.0 out of 5 over 1 review; worth clicking through to see what they actually said. 3 saves mean nobody has tested it for you. We still think it holds up. It is grifvixcolor's work.

A decorative face carries one word, maybe two. Set the headline you actually want in the preview before deciding it carries more. Our own plan for it is album art font, because that is where this kind of font does the least arguing with you. The licence tab and the full-size preview are the whole of our due diligence here, and they take about a minute between them.

Type antique display font, apparel font, book cover font and brand identity into the search above and this one comes back — the same font under four different habits of phrasing. People after this usually search decorative, dingbat, blackletter, colorful and colour too, and the shelf is sorted so those all land in the same place. We filed it under Decorative and Dingbat Fonts for the obvious reason, and the shelf is small enough to read end to end. What this shelf gets asked for is blackletter font pairing, cinzel decorative font pairing, decorative script fonts, modern blackletter fonts and monogram fonts for cricut. That list is why these files are here and not some prettier ones.

How to use this font

  1. Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
  2. Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
  3. Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
  4. Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
