About Coldthorn
Coldthorn is our album cover font pick, and it is a pick rather than a default — we looked at the shelf twice before leaving it on. 2 saves mean nobody has tested it for you. We still think it holds up. 5.0 out of 5 from 1 review — a small sample, but it is the sample there is. The designer behind it is BILLI.
A decorative face carries one word, maybe two. Set the headline you actually want in the preview before deciding it carries more. We would use it the way the listing hints — alternative font — and that is also where we would start if you are trying it for the first time. One thing we always do and you should too: open the preview full size. A thumbnail hides exactly the detail that decides whether album cover font is really what you are getting.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
